Every weekend is a new one and is unfortunately not the same as the last…
As you have probably already seen online, Rémi Thirion had a horrific crash on Saturday during Qualifying in Leogang.
We were all scared about the consequences, but we’re pleased to report that the extent of his injuries are not too bad considering how gnarly the crash was.
He has a broken collarbone, three broken ribs, and two fractured vertebrae. He had surgery for his collarbone yesterday, and everything went well.
He’s already feeling much better today and will get back home this afternoon.
It’s too early to get an accurate impression of his recovery time, but we’ll keep you informed as soon as we have some news.
When you know that one of your teammates is in a hospital, it’s always difficult to stay focused and ride as fast you want to.
But all things considered, 3rd place for Myriam Nicole after a solid run is incredible! She’s still a close 3rd in the overall with four rounds yet to go!
George Brannigan finished 18th despite a few mistakes in a very tight men’s race.
Gaëtan and Thibaut Ruffin both crashed in finals but they’re alright, and that’s the most important thing.
Now, the truck team is driving to Les Gets for Crankworx.
The next World Cup round will be in Vallnord (Andorra), and we’re already looking forward to the teams home race!
Thanks for your support and all the kind words for Rémi after his accident.
